Dr Melina Stasinou obtained her medical degree at Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2003.She completed her specialty training in several teaching Greek hospitals. She obtained an excellent Master of Science by research degree in the field of “Research in Female Reproduction” at Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2011. In February 2013, she awarded a dual accreditation of her specialty in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and her Doctorate (PhD thesis) in the field of “Obstetric Analgesia” at Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department of Ioannina University Hospital, Greece.
In 2013, she started working as a Clinical Research Fellow in the IVF Unit of Hammersmith Hospital, NHS Imperial College in London, where she completed the modules of British Fertility Society and she obtained an extensive clinical experience in the assisted reproduction techniques.
She joined Create Fertility in 2013-2019, embracing the natural and mild IVF approach in the context of the high-quality customised fertility treatments, that can lead the infertile couples safely to a successful IVF journey.
By the end of 2019 she completed the training of the International Association of Aesthetic Gynaecology and Sexual Wellbeing (IAAGSW) and she has been certified as Specialist in Functional Gynaecology.
The same year (2019), she has been appointed as Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Weill Cornell Medicine, aiming to focus part of her medical practice in reproductive research and the education of medical students.
She is a member of numerous medical organisations in UK and abroad (HCCP, BFS, ESHRE, Cochrane Group, ASRM) and assistant member of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
She has published and participated as a co-author in several peer-reviews papers in the fields of human reproduction, cervical pathology and colposcopy and she has presented her research in national and international congresses.
As an expert in Reproductive Surgery & Endocrinology she has a special scientific interest in cases of recurrent failure implantations, displaced window of endometrial receptivity and immunology enhancement treatments. She performs several innovative techniques according to the existent evidence based on patient’s autologous products. She promotes a modern tailored and evidence-based IVF approach with a blend of complementary holistic guidance leading safely bodies and minds to fulfil their purpose in the highest degree and achieve the parenthood.
